Our Worship
Liturgy, Beauty & the Sacred
Our worship is shaped by the 1928 Book of Common Prayer — a liturgy of profound beauty that has formed Anglican Christians for nearly five centuries.
The Shape of Our Worship
At St. Francis, every act of worship is an encounter with the living God. We follow the ancient pattern of the liturgy — gathering, hearing the Word, offering our prayers, and receiving the Body and Blood of Christ in the Holy Eucharist.
Our services are drawn from the traditional Book of Common Prayer, with its rich language of Scripture and prayer. We observe the full liturgical calendar, marking the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost.

Elements of Our Worship
The Holy Eucharist
The Eucharist — the Mass — is the center of our worship. We believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the consecrated bread and wine, offered and received as the Body and Blood of our Lord.
Sacred Music
Music is integral to our worship. We sing traditional Anglican hymns, chant the Psalms, and observe the great choral tradition of the Church in our principal Sunday service.
The Liturgical Year
We live by the rhythm of the Church's year — Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and Pentecost — each season shaping our prayer and devotion.
The Daily Office
Morning and Evening Prayer are the Church's daily rhythm of Scripture and praise. We encourage all parishioners to pray the Daily Office as part of their personal devotion.
The 1928 Book of Common Prayer
Our worship is rooted in the classical Anglican liturgy of the 1928 Book of Common Prayer. Read it online and pray along with us from wherever you are.
